Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray Backs Women's Reservation Bill, Calls for National Unity

Amid the ongoing debate on the Women's Reservation Bill, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has reacted. According to the party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, Uddhav Thackeray has supported the Women's Reservation Bill. He said that there is a political uproar over this bill. Shiv Sena's stand is clear. The Women's Reservation Bill has already been passed in Parliament in 2023. 33 percent women's reservation should be implemented immediately. Uddhav Thackeray also demanded a temporary halt on the delimitation issue. According to Sanjay Raut, Uddhav Thackeray said, "This is an important issue for wider national unity. For us, it is not a question of political future of any one party, but the future of the country. Therefore, more discussion and deliberations are needed on this." Honourable Shiv Sena Party President Uddhav Thackeray's latest statement on the Women's Reservation Bill: "There is a current political uproar. Shiv Sena's Women's Reservation Bill is already cleared." The Women's Reservation Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
