Shiv Sena Leaders Meet Lok Sabha Speaker Over Rebel MPs Issue

On Wednesday (June 24), Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla regarding the issue of rebel MPs. After this meeting, Arvind Sawant said that last week we had come and requested Speaker Saheb. In that request, we had said that you have to protect the Constitution. We had said that you do not take any decision without hearing us. Today at 5 pm, he had given us time and met. We told Speaker Saheb that if you have received a letter from the rebel group, let us know. To this, he said that nothing has come so far and we did not get the paper. Arvind Sawant further said, "We said that no one can be recognized as per the provision of the Constitution. There can also be separate seating arrangements." Anil Desai had also reached to meet Lok Sabha Speaker. When questioned what the Speaker assured, he said, "Speaker Saheb has assured us that no decision will be taken by the rebel group, except the office. He has also said that there will be no decision from his side.
