Former Union minister and BJP national general secretary Smriti Irani has launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi over his sit-in protest at the DCP office in Delhi. In an exclusive conversation with Aaj Tak, Smriti Irani alleged that Rahul Gandhi is trying to take political advantage of the whole matter. In fact, Rahul Gandhi had reached the DCP office with Sahil and his mother, who were injured in pellet firing, on Friday afternoon, where they demanded an FIR from the police officers and the name of the investigator. After this, the police got into a heated argument with the Congress MP. Rahul Gandhi sat on a sit-in at the Parliament Street police station. Rahul Gandhi said that he will not leave until the FIR is registered. Talking about the same issue, Smriti Irani said that the Congress party has been trapped in a cycle on the issue of Vande Mataram and is now creating a new swang by sending its leader to the police station, so that the attention of the country can be diverted from the Vande Mataram controversy.
