Sonam Wangchuk's Hunger Strike Enters Critical Stage at Delhi's Jantar Mantar

Sonam Wangchuk's fast continues for the 20th day at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. Leaders of several political parties met Wangchuk. Concerns were raised about his health and appealed to him to end the fast. But Wangchuk persisted. He said in a lighter vein, "I will be alive till July 20 in any case. If you don't come and the July 20 protest is not successful, I will come back as a ghost. In fact, on July 20, the Cockroach Janata Party has announced a Parliament march. Sonam Wangchuk not only wants Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign but has many more demands. Amid Wangchuk's fast, doctors have warned that his prolonged fast has now reached a critical stage. Addressing supporters at the protest site, Wangchuk acknowledged his deteriorating physical condition, but said that his resolve remains firm." I am weak from outside, but I am very strong from inside. I am sure that both of you are strong inside the temple. "We will keep our energy for this peaceful march till July 20."
