Southern Zonal Council Meeting Commences in Chennai with Union Home Minister Amit Shah

The 31st meeting of the Southern Zonal Council commenced at Kovalam near Chennai on Thursday with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the chair. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay felicitated Shah on the occasion. The meeting, being held at a seaside resort on the outskirts of Chennai, is expected to deliberate on key inter-state and national issues concerning the southern states. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and the Chief Ministers of Kerala and Karnataka, D K Shivakumar and V D Satheesan, respectively, are participating in the deliberations. -PTI
