Spain Refuses to Join War Against Iran Amid Tensions with US President Trump

New Delhi: Amid tensions in the Middle East, when Spain refused to join the war against Iran, US President Donald Trump became angry and even threatened to cut off trade. After Donald Trump's threat, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez issued a statement. He said that, just because of the threats of a few individuals, we will not participate in anything that is harmful to the world and against our values and interests. He further said that we have full confidence in the economic, institutional and moral strength of our country. On Iran, he went on to say that our stance is that there should be no war.
