State Election Commission Issues Guidelines for Local Self-Government Elections

Rajkot, Dt. 6: Detailed instructions have been issued by the State Election Commission vide Preamble (1) dated 16-01 -2009 for the maximum limit of election expenditure per contesting candidate and the time limit for keeping / maintaining / submitting accounts of election expenditure and submission to the competent authority etc., while conducting general / sub / mid-term elections for each ward / electoral division of local self-government institutions like Municipal Corporations / Municipalities / District Panchayats / Taluka Panchayats.
