Azhar Abbas, Sultanpur: Trouble seems to be mounting for former Delhi government ministers, including former AAP leader and noted poet Dr Kumar Vishwas. The special MP-MLA court in Sultanpur has issued summons to all the accused in a 2014 model code violation case. According to special public prosecutor Kalika Prasad Mishra, the case dates back to May 6, 2014. At that time, Dr Kumar Vishwas was an Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Amethi Lok Sabha constituency. It is alleged that during the election campaign, the then Kotwal Mohammad Hameed had directed him and his supporters to leave the area as they were not voters there. As per the rules of the Election Commission, outsiders are prohibited from staying in the constituency 48 hours before polling. Satyendra Jain and Somnath Bharti did not leave the area despite repeated instructions from the administration. Kumar Vishwas, Satyendra Jain and Somnath Bharti did not leave the area, following which a police case was registered against them.
