New Delhi: The Supreme Court has given an important verdict regarding voting rights in the West Bengal Assembly elections. The Appellate Tribunal has approved the inclusion of voters in the electoral rolls even two days before the elections. Elections in West Bengal are to be held in two phases. People whose names have been approved for the elections to be held on 23rd and 29th April, 21st and 27th April, respectively, will also be able to vote. The authority under Article 142 of the Constitution, the bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Joy Mallya Bagchi gave this verdict regarding voting rights in West Bengal.
