Supreme Court Postpones Hearings on Protest-Related Petitions; Detentions Continue

The Supreme Court has deferred till Thursday the hearing on PILs related to the protests. All petitions related to the detention and assault of protesters and journalists during Saturday's protests and contempt petitions related to the closure of metros, railways and roads have also been deferred till Thursday. High-tea has been organised at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's official residence for India Block MPs, civil society representatives and student organisations. Saurav Das of the Cockroach Janata Party has been detained by the Delhi Police on Tuesday. CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka has also been detained by the police along with Saurav Das.
