Surat Congress Splits Amid Infighting and Factionalism Ahead of Elections

The ongoing infighting and factionalism in the Surat City District Congress has now come out in the open. Amid claims of strengthening the party ahead of the upcoming local and 2027 Assembly elections, the leaders are seen engaged in a mutual show of strength. There has been a political heat in Surat with the Congress holding parallel events in two different areas on the same day and at the same time. This incident has made it clear that the Surat Congress has split into two and everything is not going well in the organization. This grouping of leaders has put the general workers in a very confused state. The internal conflict of the Congress party in Surat city has been exposed, while conventions have been called at two different places at the same time. A dialogue meeting was organized by the disgruntled Congressmen at Kapadia Wadi in Bhatar under a'Navnirman Abhiyan '. The convention was led by working president Indravadan Singh Gohil, in which a large number of important and disgruntled leaders of South Gujarat were present.
