Suryakumar Yadav Appointed Captain of Mumbai Cricket Team for Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophies

After leading the Indian team to the T20 World Cup title, Suryakumar Yadav will now be the captain of the team in domestic cricket. He has been given the command of the team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. The senior selection committee of the Mumbai Cricket Association has decided this. According to the report of the Times of India (TOI), Suryakumar will lead the team in both white-ball tournaments this season. Interestingly, Suryakumar has got this responsibility at a time when he did not get a place in the Ranji Trophy team of Mumbai only last month. He had expressed his availability for the entire domestic season, but the selectors did not include him in the red-ball team. At that time, the argument of the selectors was that Suryakumar has not played enough red-ball cricket in recent times. Now his return and captaincy in white-ball cricket has changed the picture. The team of Mumbai will start its campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 14 November in Kolkata. According to the sources of the Mumbai Elite D Cricket Association, there will be a match of Hyderabad, Vidarbha, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Vidarbha.
