Suvendu Adhikari Sworn In as West Bengal's New Chief Minister

Suvendu Adhikari was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the central leadership of the BJP, and the chief ministers of various BJP-ruled states attended the grand ceremony held at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. Along with Suvendu, five members of his cabinet were also named in the first round. Two from North Bengal and three from South Bengal were inducted into the cabinet. Among them are Adivasi faces, as well as Matua faces. They are Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Pal, Ashok Kirtania, Nishith Pramanik, and Khudiram Tudu. Dilip Ghosh was sworn in after the chief minister. Agnimitra Pal, Ashok Kirtania, Khudiram Tudu, and Nishith Pramanik were sworn in one by one. They were all administered the oath of office by Governor RN Ravi. Suvendu Adhikari won from Bhabanipur and Nandigram. Dilip Ghosh won from Kharagpur Sadar. Kirtana Raneea Raneea Tudu won from Asansol Dakshin, and Shubhrajyant Kumar Mathur won from Bankura.
