Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari entered the Assembly while taking oath as the Prime Minister in the same way as Narendra Modi entered the Parliament in 2014. Suvendu Adhikari took oath as the first MLA of Bhabanipur Assembly constituency. After this, the newly elected MLAs of the rest of the Assembly including Dilip Ghosh, Ashok Kirtania, Khudiram Tudu, Agnimitra Paul, Mekhliganj MLAs took oath in their regional languages. The newly elected candidates took oath as MLAs on Wednesday. The swearing-in ceremony began at 11: 30 am. On two consecutive days, 290 MLAs will take oath in the Assembly. There are 294 Assembly seats in the state but fresh elections are being held. Apart from this, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Aam Janta Vikas Party leader Humayun Kabir have won from two seats. A total of 290 MLAs will take oath in the next two days.
