Tamil Nadu BJP Leader K. Annamalai Set to Resign From Party After Meeting Amit Shah

K. Annamalai, a veteran leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu, will soon resign from the party. He has recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. There are now talks that he will soon leave the party. Annamalai is likely to resign on Friday (June 5). Annamalai will soon leave for Tamil Nadu from Delhi. He will hold a press conference thereafter on Friday. Significantly, Annamalai is yet to receive a response from the BJP leadership. The political corridors in Tamil Nadu witnessed a lot of turmoil after the victory of Vijay's party TVK (Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam). The BJP was disappointed in the Tamil Nadu elections. After this, Annamalai made up his mind to resign. Former Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai held a series of meetings with the party's top leadership in New Delhi on Tuesday. These meetings continued speculation about his future role in the BJP and his recent developments in the state unit.
