A man named Adathiranavukkarasu allegedly approached the MLA. He claimed to be a representative of a political firm called Indian Political Democratic Strategies. He later offered money in exchange for support in the voting process. The MLA declined the offer. The MLA then filed a police complaint. The complaint also alleged that he and his family were threatened. Based on the complaint, the Tamil Nadu Police registered a case.
