Telangana Cabinet Reshuffle: Vijayashanti Among Those Being Considered for Ministerial Role

Hyderabad: After TVK Udayan and then Joseph Vijay became CM in Tamil Nadu, Congress has announced to join the government. Congress will come to power after 59. Amid all this, speculation is rife in Congress-ruled Telangana that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is likely to induct two ministers in the cabinet. Names of about 10 MLAs are doing the rounds. One of them is actress-filmmaker-turned-politician Vijayashanti. She has been named'The Lady Superstar'and Lady Amitabh for her powerful roles in women-centric films. Revanth Reddy is said to be in talks to change the cabinet. In such a situation, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy may drop at least two and at most five ministers. The total number of members in the Telangana assembly is 119. As per constitutional norms, there can be a maximum of 18 ministers in the government. Currently, there are three vacancies in the cabinet. Vijayashanti Reddy was sworn in as a member of the Telangana Legislative Council on April 7.
