Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has claimed that the name of the state's anti-encroachment task force (HYDRAA) was inspired by Hitler. After his statement, the opposition, especially the BJP and the BRS, have attacked him. At a conference in Bengaluru on Saturday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made this claim. Reddy said, "The word Hydra was Hitler's favourite word. His main team was called Hydra, which could kill anyone. So, I took inspiration from Hitler and named my agency HYDRAA." However, this claim of the Chief Minister was rejected by the experts of history. According to him, there is no historical or factual evidence that the name of Hitler's main team was'Hydra '. Actually, this word was associated with a bombing mission of the British Royal Air Force against Nazi Germany. After Revanth Reddy's statement, the national spokesperson of the BJP, Shahnawala, accused the Congress leader of having a dangerous mindset.
