The political tussle in Telangana Congress is not coming to an end. Forest Minister Konda Surekha was removed from the Revanth Reddy cabinet on Thursday. Surekha then accused the chief minister of resorting to blackmail politics to remove her from the post. She claims that the party's central leadership was not in favour of her removal. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had decided to remove Surekha from the council of ministers on Thursday with immediate effect. The action came amid the ongoing controversy over her daughter Sushmita's controversial remarks against the CM and other leaders. After being removed from the post, Surkha told reporters that she did not do any wrong. She did not get a chance to present her side before being sacked. She said that even a person sentenced to death is given a chance to state his last wish before being executed. Surekha claimed that the Congress high command did not want to remove her, but Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reportedly maintained that she would continue to pressurise her about her future as a Rajya Sabha MP.
