Thousands Enter Ceuta, Creating Political Crisis in Spain

Thousands of illegal migrants have entered Spain's tiny region of Ceuta in North Africa. So far, more than 30 people have died after crossing the border from Morocco. Juan Jesus Vivas, the head of Ceuta's government, said in a statement that since yesterday, about 60,000 people have entered the region. Ceuta has a population of about 83,000. The situation in the region has completely deteriorated. However, according to the Spanish Interior Ministry, about 50,000 of them have entered Ceuta. According to the Interior Ministry, more than 25,000 of those who crossed the border have since returned. Meanwhile, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived in Ceuta to take stock of the situation. Although anti-Pedro political parties in Spain are questioning his policies on migrants, the Prime Minister said that many young people are also involved in human trafficking and that the Prime Minister deceives many young people.
