According to the police, unidentified thieves had stolen a silver crown, a gold tilak and a brass crown from the Hanuman temple in the premises of Shriram Janaki temple in village Badagaon. Apart from this, brass bells and a silver crown were also stolen from the Mata Jalpa temple by breaking its door. There was an atmosphere of anger in the area due to the frequent incidents of theft in the temples. The value of the stolen items was estimated to be around Rs 18,000. On the complaint of the complainant in the case, Raghunath Singh Bundela, the Raipura police station police registered an offence and started investigation. A special team was formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Panna and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police and SDOP Powai. The police team acted swiftly on the basis of technical evidence, informers and continuous investigation. On the basis of the clues found during the investigation, the police were able to reach the accused within 24 hours. The police have arrested three accused in this case, including 18-year-old Jatpu, Nitin Chandi and 27-year-old Chandi.
