Three Arrested for Stealing Copper Worth Rs 20 Lakh in Bareilly

Police have recovered stolen copper, arms and cash from their possession. Read Trending Videos According to police, two tonnes of copper scrap worth about Rs 20 lakh was stolen from the godown of Padmavati Associate Firm. Shivani Jain had filed a complaint against unknown thieves on 28 April 2026. The thieves had committed the theft by tunnelling near the wall of the firm. Police registered a case in this regard and were searching for the accused. The inspector in charge of the CBiganj police team was checking near Bandia canal in the early hours of Wednesday. The informant reported that three miscreants were coming in an e-rickshaw to sell the stolen copper. Police retaliated by surrounding the e-rickshaw. The accused tried to stop the e-rickshaw.
