TMC Complains to Election Commission Over Alleged Tampering of Postal Ballots and EVM Security Concerns in Bengal

Amid the controversy surrounding the strongroom, the TMC has complained to the Election Commission against the returning officer of the centre. The ruling party in Bengal has alleged that the postal ballots were tampered with without'permission '. However, no official statement has been received from the commission on this allegation. Since Thursday afternoon, the TMC has started raising questions about the security of EVMs in some places. The party has been accused of disabling CCTVs in a strongroom in Kasba. The TMC candidate from Shyampukur, Shashi Panja, went to the centre with party workers to tamper with the EVMs. The TMC candidate from Beleghata also went there. Later, two BJP candidates from Maniktala and Chowringhee, Tapas Roy and Santosh Pathak, were also present. The situation surrounding the slogans of'Jai Shri Ram'and'Jai Bangla'also heated up.
