TMC Leader Abhishek Banerjee Slams Rebels for Leaving Party Over Fear

Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday came down heavily on the rebels who left the party and alleged that they are either switching sides or going back to the rebel camp due to the fear of investigating agencies like ED and CBI. Condemning the rebels, he said that the rebels are scared and only scared people give up. Abhishek Banerjee said that those who changed their political course after getting summons from central investigating agencies did so out of fear. Everyone has the right to take their own decision and go wherever they want. But if someone changes their mind as soon as they get ED summons, it is clear that he does not want to fight. Challenging the rebels, Abhishek Banerjee said, "Those who left the party and are accusing me or badmouthing me today. I challenge them to come back to Didi (Mamata Banerjee). If they do so, I will resign from the party within an hour. But I will not leave the ED or leave the rebel camp and join the BJP again.
