Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and MP Kalyan Banerjee said on Monday (July 6) that he has filed a response with the Election Commission in Delhi. He said that we have given a detailed reply. The committee of AITC was formed in 1998, then the term of the committee was supposed to be for 3 years. Kalyan Banerjee said that the term of the committee is for 5 years in AITC. The other faction which is claiming that the committee has been dissolved is wrong. According to the party constitution, the committee was formed in 2022, whose term is till 2027. They should resign immediately. He further told that we had put 3 points before the Election Commission about the life of TMC and the working committee of TMC. In December 1997, the constitution of TMC was made and after that Mamata Banerjee was given the symbol of the party in 2006, the election of the party chairperson will be for 4 years.
