Trinamool Congress MLA Mohammad Kasim Siddique has announced his separation from the rebel faction led by Ritabrata Banerjee, expressing his unwavering trust in former Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He has bluntly said that he has no more to do with the rebel faction led by Ritabrata Banerjee. After this statement, the ongoing internal factionalism and rebel voices within the TMC have received a major blow. The TMC MLA also claimed that he and other MLAs were misled from the beginning by saying that the rebel faction is working under the guidance of'Didi'( Mamata Banerjee). Siddiqui further said, he had no idea that Ritabrata Banerjee's faction is going in a different direction from the original ideology and top leadership of the Trinamool Congress. He claimed that there was no mention of Mamata Banerjee in the meetings of the rebel group. When he realized that this faction has no immediate connection with Mamata Banerjee's policies, he distanced himself from that group (Mamata Banerjee's faction) and won the assembly elections.
