Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs Kirti Azad and Sagarika Ghose reached Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's house on Sunday (14 June 2026) morning to submit a memorandum. After they reached there, the media asked them if they had any prior appointment to meet the Speaker. Replying to this, Kirti Azad said, "If Sir gives us time, we will go to meet him. If he does not get time, we will go back after meeting." Trinamool Congress MP Kirti Azad said that this matter is very clear. He said that the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court has already made it clear that according to Article 4 of the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution, such a division cannot take place. Kirti Azad said that what happened in Maharashtra was wrong. That is why his party has come up with an application regarding this issue. He informed that this application has been submitted to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. After reaching the Speaker's house, Kirti Azad said that the rebel MPs have been treated as unconstitutional. He also said that the party cannot be identified according to this opportunity.
