TMC Rebel Faction Releases List of Defecting Lok Sabha MPs

According to news agency IANS, the TMC rebel faction led by Kakoli Ghosh released a list of 19 Lok Sabha MPs. It also includes Jadavpur MP Saayoni Ghosh, Yusuf Pathan and Shatrughan Sinha, who are considered close to Mamata. On 8 June, Kakoli Ghosh claimed that she has sent a letter of support of 20 Lok Sabha MPs to Speaker Om Birla. On Wednesday, Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev also resigned from the party and the post. Two Rajya Sabha MPs of Trinamool Congress (TMC) have left the party in the last 3 days. Earlier on 8 June, Sukhendu Sekhar had resigned from Rajya Sabha, the party also left. After this, 20 out of 28 MPs in Lok Sabha and 2 out of 13 MPs in Rajya Sabha of TMC have broken. On 3 June, 58 out of 80 MLAs of Bengal have formed a separate faction.
