TVK Leader C Joseph Vijay Sworn In as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

Tamilaga Vetri Katchagam (TVK) chief and legislative party leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, marking a new chapter in the state's politics. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at a grand ceremony held at Nehru Stadium in Chennai. The presence of a huge crowd of TVK workers and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also discussed on the occasion. Vijay took oath in the name of God, and his ministers followed the same tradition. Several senior TVK leaders took oath as ministers at the swearing-in ceremony. Prominent faces such as Aadhava Arjuna, N Anand and K A Sengottaiyan. This government is considered to be a major change after the long dominance of Dravidian politics in Tamil Nadu. Madurai Central MLA Mustafa TVK is among the prominent faces. He has been a strong supporter of the party in TV debates for a long time and is counted among the most trusted spokespersons of the party. 29-year-old Keerthana Sivakonda S Keerthana has won in TV politics for the first time.
