The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has decided to suspend all trade, business, and financial transactions with Iran until further notice. The UAE government has cited rising regional tensions and security concerns as the reason behind the move. UAE Foreign Ministry Communications Director Afrah Al Hameli said that all trade and financial activities with Iran will remain closed until further orders. She also said that the UAE will continue to support dialogue and cooperation necessary to maintain peace and stability in the region. The UAE's decision comes after it accused Iran of firing two ballistic missiles towards the Gulf. According to the UAE Defense Ministry, its air defense system detected both missiles. According to the UAE, one missile landed outside its maritime zone, while the other landed inside its maritime zone. Later, the UAE claimed that the two missiles were aimed at the movement of ships and eventually fell into the sea. The UAE did not respond to these allegations until the Gulf of Iran's Strait of Hormuz Strait was closed.
