Udit Raj Supports Jharkhand Student Protests, Except for CBI Inquiry Demand

On the student protests in Jharkhand, Congress leader Udit Raj said, "I support their demands, except for one thing. However, the BJP should not use this to defame the Jharkhand government. Some candidates have demanded a CBI inquiry, but a CBI inquiry means that the truth will not come out and only lies will come out. The CBI is under the central government, so it cannot be expected to be impartial." Udit Raj's statement comes after the Jharkhand government has accepted most of the demands except for a CBI inquiry. The students'movement has been going on in Ranchi for the last 23 days. Jharkhand politics is hot. On Saturday, students announced that if the government does not agree to the demands, they will burn the government's effigies in all the districts on Sunday. Under this, effigies of the government were burnt in all the 24 districts, including the capital Ranchi. The students have also warned that if their demands are not met, they will gherao the Chief Minister's residence on August 20. Student organizations have demanded that the Hemant Soren government complete the JSC exams.
