Ujjain Road Widening Project Affects Ancestral Home of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister

As part of Simhastha 2028 preparations, major roads in Ujjain are being widened. The proposed road widening is from Khajur Wali Masjid to Ganesh Chowk via Abdalpura, Jivajiganj police station. This road is about 730 meters long. It is to be widened by 15 meters. 272 buildings are coming up for road widening in this area. These include the ancestral house of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the house of his elder sister and Municipal Corporation Chairman Kalavati Yadav. The Municipal Corporation team has marked the affected houses red. The Chief Minister's relatives say that in view of the city's development and Simhastha's preparations, they are ready to remove the affected part of the house. It is being told that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's grandfather Ramchandra Yadav built this house in 1974. In this, both his sons Poonamchandra Yadav and Shankarlal Yadav along with the family members passed away in childhood.
