On 28 February, a deadly attack on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's office in Tehran was alleged. Several top military and administrative officials, including Khamenei, are claimed to have been killed in the attack. A foreign media report claims that Mojtaba left the office shortly before the attack, resulting in serious injuries to his legs, though he survived the blast. The leaked audio is gruesome and the intensity of the blast has left many top officials disfigured. Although the authenticity of the audio has not been verified.
