Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi Criticizes Lok Janshakti Party Chief Over Dalit Issues

Hindustani Awam Morcha convenor and Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has been attacking Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Dalit issues. On Monday (July 06, 2026), during an event, he again targeted Chirag Paswan without naming him. On Monday, Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was addressing the event at Vidyapati Bhawan in Patna. There was a state council meeting of the party (Hindustani Awam Morcha) today. He himself attended it. A large number of party workers and people from the Dalit community were present at the event. The Union minister attacked Chirag Paswan during his speech, saying that some people become pro-reservation and want to take the status of a martyr by cutting their nails. Manjhi said that the condition of Dalits is the same today. However, Jitan Ram Manjhi did not take Chirag Paswan's name in his statement. The Union minister lashed out at the BJP, saying, "I was caught lying in the name of an assembly seat. He did not speak about getting more Dalit seats in Parliament today."
