United Coal Workers Union Submits Charter of Demands to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The union has appealed to the Prime Minister to take immediate action on the charter of demands. The union has demanded the withdrawal of anti-labour labour codes, terming the new labour codes as anti-labour. The union has demanded the immediate release of suspended workers and withdrawal of false cases filed against them. In view of the current inflation, the workers have been demanding a minimum wage of Rs. 26,000 per month and eight-hour working days.
