UP Minister Criticizes Personal Attacks on Politicians' Families, Calls for Raising the Bar in Politics

Uttar Pradesh Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh on Friday visited the hi-tech farm house of Padmashri Kisan Ram Sharan Verma in Daulatpur village of Barabanki. He inspected modern agricultural techniques and various models of banana and tomato cultivation. While interacting with the media, the Jal Shakti Minister described the achievements of the government as historic. Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh made a big statement on the rhetoric going on about Akhilesh Yadav's daughter. He called such a tradition wrong in politics. He said that such things should not happen at all. When the media asked for a response to the rhetoric being made on social media about SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's daughter, the Jal Shakti Minister took a very mature stand. Swatantra Dev Singh bluntly said that politics is his place, but no one should raise personal questions on anyone's daughter or anyone's family.
