US Clarifies Ceasefire Agreement Excludes Lebanon Amid Deadly Israel Attacks

WASHINGTON: The United States has made it clear that Lebanon was not included in the ceasefire agreement with Iran. This statement comes at a time when Israel has carried out deadly attacks in Lebanon. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who is mediating between the United States and Iran, claimed that Lebanon is also included in the ceasefire agreement, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has categorically denied it. US President Donald Trump has previously denied that Lebanon is included in the deal. US Vice President J.D. Vance, who arrived in the capital Budapest, has denied that Lebanon is included in the ceasefire. He told reporters, "I think there is a misunderstanding. I think the Iranians were assuming that Lebanon is also included in the ceasefire, while he did not add that the ceasefire is focused on the United States or the Arab countries."
