US Imposes Conditions on Iran's Peace Proposal, Tensions Rise

The major development comes amid ongoing tensions and efforts for peace talks between Iran and the US. According to Iran's semi-official Fars news agency, the US has responded to Iran's recent peace proposal with five strict conditions. The conditions have once again stirred up political and diplomatic tempers between the two countries. However, no official statement has been issued by Washington or Tehran so far regarding these conditions. These conditions have dealt a major blow to the hopes of reconciliation between the two countries. According to Iranian media, the US has completely reversed Iran's proposal and the conditions are as follows: The US has categorically refused to pay any compensation or war reparations to Iran. Iran will have to transfer the 400 kg of enriched uranium it has to the US.: Iran will be allowed to keep only one nuclear plant in operation in its country. Washington has demanded further freezing of assets (ceasefire) on various fronts.
