US-Iran Conflict: Trump Cancels Pakistan Visit Amid Stalled Peace Talks

US President Donald Trump has cancelled a visit to Pakistan by his special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Peace talks have stalled. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has returned empty-handed after meeting with the Pakistani leadership. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump made clear that recent security developments will not prevent him from achieving a victory over Iran, which has further weakened hopes for a ceasefire. The situation in the battlefield is also worsening. According to Lebanon's Health Ministry, six people have been killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday. Even amid talks for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused the military of retaliating and ordering strikes on Hezbollah, which the Israeli leader has accused Israel of carrying out in response.
