Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has claimed that a peace deal between the US and Iran could be reached within the next 24 hours. He said the two countries would then sign the deal online and technical-level talks would take place next week. Iran's Chief Justice Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei has said that Iran does not trust the US at all. He said that this trust has been eroded by past experiences. He claimed that Iran has inflicted major damage on its enemies in the current conflict and has succeeded in weakening the power of the aggressors. An interim leadership council was formed after the death of then-Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on 28 February. Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei is on board. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the two countries are closer than ever to the deal. He urged the media to avoid speculating on the terms of the agreement. Tehran said that the American diplomats who were summoned to Geneva on 14 June did not object to the signing process.
