WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has announced a 5-day pause in talks aimed at ending the US-Iran war. Iran has said it is not ready for a ceasefire following Trump's remarks, which revealed that 3 Islamic countries are now trying to mediate between the US and Iran, including India's arch-enemy Pakistan. Representatives from Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan met separately with White House envoy Steve Wittkopf and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, according to US news agency Axios. Araghchi's ministry also said the talks were aimed at resolving contentious issues from ending the war.
