US Strikes Iran for Third Time, Prompting Retaliatory Attacks on US Bases

According to the US military, the strikes are the third major US strike on Iran since the IRGC targeted a Cyprus-flagged ship in Hormuz. The strikes are believed to have targeted an IRGC base in Bushehr, Iran. According to US Central Command, the strikes are intended to degrade Iran's capabilities to attack commercial shipping passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Explosions were heard in Bandar Abbas and Sirik in Iran after the US strikes. Explosions were also heard on Qeshm Island. On the other hand, after the US attack on Iran, Iran has retaliated strongly. Iran has attacked US bases in the UAE, Qatar, and Jordan.
