US Targets Iranian Radar and Drone Sites Amid Tensions Over Drone Downings

The US said it targeted radar and drone control sites on Iran's Goruk and Qeshm islands. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the action was in response to Iran's aggressive activities. The US alleged that Iran shot down an American MQ1 drone in international waters on Sunday. According to CENTCOM, the US military destroyed Iran's air defense systems, a ground control station, and two drones. On the other hand, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that we targeted the airbase that was used in the US operation near Sirik Island. The Iran International report claimed that Iranian President Massoud Pajshakian has resigned. According to the report, Pajshakian alleged that the country's regime is now fully controlled by IRGC commanders. Iran's Foreign Minister Araghi Abbas said that the ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran is now in place and that it is applicable to all ceasefire violations.
