US Warns Against Repeat of China Mistakes in Trade Talks with India

US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau has made a major and suggestive statement about the ongoing bilateral trade negotiations between the US and India, saying that the US has given China enormous economic advantages and trade advantages in the past, resulting in China becoming a major rival superpower to the US today. Taking a cue from this mistake, Washington is now very cautious about trade deals with India and will not give India the kind of economic concessions China has in the past.
