Amid the ongoing political debate over the alleged financial bungling in the donations received for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary questioned Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav over his "silence" on the issue of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. In a post on'X ', Chaudhary hit out at Yadav, saying, "Raising voice on Ayodhya and complete silence on Mathura...!" He said, "Where there is vote bank, there is voice; where there is need to speak the truth, there is silence. That is the biggest principle of SP president's politics." Questioning Akhilesh Yadav's stand, Chaudhary said, "The question is why this silence on the issue of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura? Is this silence based on principles or due to compulsion of vote bank politics?" He also claimed that the SP chief's "selective pain" can be easily understood and called it the "real face of appeasement politics." "It was when the BJP raised the issue of a special SIT probe into the Ram temple donations to the Yadav government on June 7.
