Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Expansion May Be Delayed Amid Ongoing Assembly Elections

Lucknow: Amid speculations of cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh, it may have to wait for a while. The current political situation does not seem to favour an immediate expansion. It is believed that the Yogi government can take a decision on cabinet expansion only after the upcoming assembly elections in five states, including West Bengal, Assam and Tamil Nadu. When will the cabinet expansion take place? According to sources, the process of swearing-in of the new chief minister in Bihar is also to be completed before this. There is a possibility of a change or expansion in Team Yogi in Uttar Pradesh only after this. The central leadership and organization of the BJP are busy with these political activities, so the cabinet expansion may be postponed for some time. Currently, so many ministers including the CM have been sworn in that the cabinet was also expanded on 26 September 2021, about six months before the 2022 assembly elections. A total of seven ministers were sworn in the Yogi government at that time. Jitin Prasada was made a cabinet minister, while Paltu Ram, Sanjay Kumar Gond, Sangeeta Balwant Dharam Prajapati, Dinesh Gangveer Singh were made ministers in the second term of the Yogi government.
