Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Honors Batukas, A Brahmin Community, Amid Political Tensions

Politics over the Brahmin vote bank has heated up again in Uttar Pradesh. Cabinet Minister Manoj Pandey today felicitated the Batukas. During this, he made all the Batukas wear a saffron scarf and said that the Batukas have existed since creation. No one can insult them, we are fortunate that we are getting a chance to honour them. In the ceremony, 108 Batukas were garlanded, presented with angavastra and felicitated with flowers. Earlier in the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, the issue of insulting Shankaracharya Swami Avimukateshwaranand and the Batukas had become very hot. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak had also honoured the Batukas then. On Friday, a program was held at Rabindralaya Auditorium in Lucknow for the unity and respect of the Brahmin community. In addition to this, Manoj Kumar Pandey, the Chief Guest and Minister of Food, Logistics and Civil Supplies, was also present.
