Uttar Pradesh Court Convicts 14 Accused in 18-Year-Old Double Murder Case

After 18 years, the court has delivered its important verdict in a famous and shocking double murder case of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The District and Sessions Court has convicted 14 accused in the murder of the son of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and his personal bodyguard (gunner). The court has sentenced all the convicts to rigorous imprisonment for life (life imprisonment) and has also imposed a fine of 38-38 thousand rupees on each of them. The entire case is from Patishah village of Hathgam police station area. The horrific incident took place in 2008 during the Bakrid mourning procession. At that time, the ambushes targeted BSP leader Majju Mian, his son Reyaz Athar and personal bodyguard Shamshad. The fury of the bullets spread all over the area. In this murderous attack, BSP leader's son Rayaz Athar died on the spot, while the bodyguard was seriously injured in the hospital.
