LUCKNOW: The impact of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2027, due in about 10 months, is showing on the Yogi Adityanath government in the state. Yogi Adityanath has added'arrows'in his quiver by expanding the cabinet, especially in response to the Samajwadi Party's'PDA ', i.e., backward, Dalit and minority focused election formula. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inducted six new ministers in his cabinet. Three of them are from the backward class and two from the downtrodden class. Some have been promoted along with the induction of new ministers. Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav is buoyed by the success of the'PDA'formula adopted in the last Lok Sabha elections. That is why he is betting on securing the votes of backward, Dalit and minority people by adopting the same formula in the upcoming assembly elections in UP. However, the BJP has begun to blunt his form.
