Uttar Pradesh NEET UG 2026: Student Registration and Counselling Update

There are 5350 MBBS seats in the government sector and 6,700 in the private sector in the state. Similarly, there are 70 seats in the government sector and 2250 in the private sector for BDS. In NEET UG 2026, 3.5 lakh students of Uttar Pradesh had registered, out of which 3.28 lakh took the exam. 1.7 lakh students have appeared in this exam. About 1900 additional students registered in the year 2026 as compared to the year 2025, but the number of students appearing in the examination was less by about 15 thousand. The reason for the advertisement is that there are only 86 students more in the year 2026 than the year 2025. There is no increase in the number of seats in the government sector of MBBS this year. At present, the first phase of online counselling is going on. After registration, the students will be able to deposit the heritage amount from the same day. Students will be able to deposit the heritage amount till 5 pm on August 12. After this, the certificates will be checked.
